Ala. Group Expands, Rebrands as Cooper Auto Family

Cooper Chevrolet Buick of Anniston, Ala., acquired GMC and Hyundai rooftops from its Anniston neighbors, Superior Automotive Group, then renamed itself “Copper Auto Family.” Executives said the GMC point will move to Cooper’s home base on Quintard Avenue but Superior Hyundai will remain in its current location, down the road.
“Bringing all of General Motors’ top brands under one roof allows us to offer unmatched convenience and selection to our customers,” Gregg Montgomery, Cooper’s owner and president, told the Calhoun Journal. “Adding Hyundai, known for its cutting-edge technology and reliability, provides an exciting new option for shoppers.”
Founded in 1977, Cooper Auto Family now includes Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Hyundai and CarBravo Certified Used franchises as well as two pre-owned lots.
