Ford Offsets Tariffs With Employee Pricing

Ford Motor Co. has launched “From America, For America,” a new campaign offering employee discounts to all buyers of most of the factory’s U.S. lineup, in a bid to offset a new 25% tariff on imported vehicles that goes into effect today.
The offer applies to models built in the U.S. as well as the Bronco Sport, Maverick and Mustang Mach-E, which are built in Mexico, and the China-built Lincoln Nautilus. The short list of excluded vehicles include Raptors and 2025 Expeditions, Super Duty pickups and Lincoln Navigators.
Dearborn, Mich.-based Ford manufacturers about 80% of its U.S.-sold vehicles in American plants, more than any other manufacturer, notes Breana Noble, who interviewed Ford executive Robert Kaffl for The Detroit News.
“When we looked at where we stand today, even after a really strong March, our inventory levels are super healthy across our dealer network,” Kaffl tells TDN. “We also think there’s a ton of uncertainty right now that’s out in the market.”
