More than two-thirds of service technicians say at least half of their daily tasks depend on some level of technology (70%) and feel comfortable using advanced diagnostic tools (68%), according to a new survey conducted by Anyline.

The Austrian firm unveiled the survey results and showcased its AI-powered software suite at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Head of U.S. Automotive Chris Garcia told Auto Remarketing that “future-forward” shops are already realizing the benefits of advanced technology.

“Our survey confirms a growing enthusiasm among technicians for technology’s role in shaping the future of automotive service,” Garcia said. “Digitized data empowers techs to service more vehicles every day, reducing customer wait times and improving the overall service experience.”
