Tech Fuels Retail Growth in 2024: 5 Trends

A PwC report finds the appetite for an omnichannel online/in-person buying experience remains “insatiable” among a growing contingent of tech-savvy customers. For dealers and other retailers, focusing on price alone may not be enough to attract customers and build loyalty.

“To maintain your competitive edge in the year ahead, stay focused on sustainable growth while fine-tuning your business models to deliver the seamless experiences consumers have to come to expect, even demand,” analysts wrote.

Among other findings, the majority (58%) of all consumers surveyed by PwC said they discover products “in person at stores”; remarkably, this was true for 67% of Gen Z consumers (ages 17-25), whose buying power is soon to rapidly grow.
