2025 Outlook: 5 Trends That Will Impact the Economy and Markets

In his latest contribution to Forbes, economist Jason Schenker lists five key trends that will affect the U.S. economy and investment portfolios in 2025, including “mixed dynamics” in the labor market, improved consumer credit and spending, cooling inflation and falling interest rates.
Of particular interest to investors is the U.S. gross domestic product. If forecasts hold, recent, encouraging Q3 data will be followed by year-end reports showing GDP accelerated throughout 2024.
All told, dealers and other investors appear to be poised for big returns.
“While 2024 was a solid year, there are reasons to be optimistic about the 2025 outlook,” Schenker writes.
