EFG Companies announced the launch of Reinsurance Health Check, a six-question diagnostic review for dealers concerned about program performance amid rising claims severity, higher repair costs and delayed reserve adjustments.

Sections dedicated to product mix and volatility, coverage structure alignment and underwriting discipline will help dispel the notion that pricing is the first indicator of reinsurance pressure, executives say in a release.

“What many dealers are experiencing now didn’t happen overnight,” writes EFG CRO Eric Fifield. “Over several years, competitive pricing decisions, rising vehicle values, and increasing labor and parts costs created conditions most reinsurance programs weren’t built to absorb.
