Americans Just Aren’t Buying Volvo EVs

In the same month EVs boosted U.S. new-vehicle sales for major Japanese and Korean manufacturers, Volvo dealers sold shockingly few fully electric vehicles.

InsideEVs reporter Iulian Dnistran notes that Volvo’s November tally of 493 new EVs sold nationwide — down 41% compared with the same month a year ago — is even more surprising considering the Swedish factory’s comparable success in other markets.

“While its EV game has seen solid gains in Europe, China and everywhere else, the story is completely different stateside. As in, it’s very bad.”
