Trump to Buy Tesla as ‘Radical Left’ Turns on Musk

President Donald Trump plans to purchase a Tesla in support of the EV maker’s CEO, Elon Musk, who serves the administration as a senior advisor and head of its Department of Government Efficiency.

In an X post, Trump says Musk “is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” and “putting it on the line” to support the administration’s agenda.

“But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” Trump writes.

The Austin, Texas-based manufacturer has been rocked by a series of protests and incidents of vandalism targeting Tesla owners, showrooms and charging stations. In a recent interview with Fox News’s Larry Kudlow, Musk admitted he is running Tesla and other businesses with “great difficulty” since committing to his DOGE role.

Tesla Inc. stock suffered its biggest single-day drop in five years Monday, falling 15%, down 55% from a December high. In January, the factory reported its first annual sales decline, down 1.1% from 2023.
