New Lectrium AI Agent Built to Turn VDPs Into Buyer Conversations

Lectrium has launched Lumi, an AI agent designed to bring the kind of vehicle research conversations shoppers are currently having with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini onto dealership websites and vehicle description pages.
In a release, executives say Lumi is built to answer shopper questions about specific vehicles in the dealer’s inventory, surface alternatives at different price points or capability levels, and connect ready buyers to the sales team via CRM lead submission. It works across gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and EV inventory, with Lectrium’s EV expertise built to support questions about charging, range and ownership costs.
“In a marketplace where most shoppers now turn to AI tools to compare models and research vehicles, Lectrium lets us bring that same experience to our own sites, across all of our new and used inventory,” writes John Germain, vice president at Germain Automotive Partnership, which is already running Lumi across 17 dealership websites.
Lumi runs on what the company calls a modern agent harness, connecting frontier AI models to dealership inventory data, manufacturer sources, EPA data and lead workflows. The architecture supports models from multiple AI providers, allowing Lectrium to incorporate new capabilities as they emerge, according to the release.
