Nissan, Stellantis Join Ford on Rear Camera Recall Roster

Less than a week after more than 1 million Ford and Lincoln vehicles were recalled due to the risk of malfunctioning rearview camera displays, Nissan Motor Corp. and Stellantis NV separately reported similar issues.
Nissan will recall a total of 79,755 Frontier pickups and Kicks SUVs due to a glitch that may prevent the in-dash display of the driver-facing rearview camera image. Alerts will be sent to owners starting in July.
Stellantis will recall 206 Chrysler-branded units; affected models and model-years were not available at press time.
“The display (DCSD) contains a microprocessor with a software error and an improper voltage regulator connection, which may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying,” according to a recall notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
