Subaru Raises MSRPs Up to $2K as Costs Increase

Subaru of America will raise prices on nearly every U.S.-sold model starting in June, according to Motor1 and other sources, citing “market conditions” without specifically mentioning new tariffs that took effect this month.
A letter to dealers first reviewed and reported by Reuters lists additional increases ranging from $750 for the Crosstrek and Impreza to $2,000 for the BRZ and WRX and $2,055 for the Ascent three-row SUV. The only unaffected model is the Solterra EV, which is a rebadged Toyota bZ4X.
Motor1’s Anthony Alaniz notes the increases are not limited to the 45% of vehicles Subaru builds outside the United States and sells here.
“Subaru of America has adjusted its pricing in response to current market conditions,” executives wrote in a statement to Motor1. “The changes were made to offset increased costs while maintaining a solid value proposition for the customer. Subaru pricing is not based on the country of origin of its products.”
The news follows a similar announcement made by Ford Motor Co. earlier this month. Ford executives did acknowledge tariffs were part of the “equation” when the factory decided to raise prices by as much as $2,000 for its three Mexico-built models.
