Dealer Says California CARS Act Inspired AI Compliance and F&I Platform

Marina Letsios, a New York dealer and vice chair of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association, launched AI Assist on the eve of the enforcement deadline for California’s CARS Act, introducing two solutions designed to help dealers document customer interactions and streamline the F&I process.
“Every dealer I know believes their team treats customers right,” writes Letsios, who serves as general manager at Atlantic Kia in West Islip, N.Y., in a release. “The stores that can prove it will come out ahead.”
Argus360 is an independent audit platform that contacts each dealership monthly as a real customer would — by text, email, web form and phone — grading each interaction and producing a dated compliance record that names the specific rule behind each finding. The platform is piloting now, with general availability planned for late 2026.
AiF&I is an F&I platform with five AI agents built to structure deals, check compliance, consolidate finance source status into a single view, coach staff and keep customers informed, according to the release. A dealer design partner program opens in December.
“Today a deal passes through half a dozen systems that don’t talk to each other, and people type the same customer information over and over,” says Nick Letsios, CEO of AI Assist. “The goal is a store where every system knows what the others know, so the team spends its time with customers, not screens.”
