Mitsubishi Prices to Increase by 2.1%

Mitsubishi Motors will raise prices of new units sold in the United States by an average of 2.1% in response to a 25% tariff on vehicles imported from Japan and other countries that took effect in April, according to Reuters.
Reporter David Shepardson notes the Tokyo-based manufacturer resumed deliveries to U.S. ports last week after a brief suspension. Mitsubishi sold more than 100,000 vehicles to American buyers in 2024, a 26% year-over-year improvement.
The move “is a direct result of our regular and ongoing review of pricing in order to ensure we are in-line with segment expectations,” according to a memo sent to dealers and reviewed by Reuters.
Mitsubishi joins Ford and Subaru, which last month announced price hikes of up to $2,000 on imported models, on a growing list of factories raising MSRPs to offset the cost of tariffs.
