myKaarma Lends Inspection, Communication Tools to UTI-Atlanta Trainees

myKaarma has announced a pilot program with Universal Technical Institute’s new Atlanta campus. The company will integrate its digital multipoint inspection platform into UTI-Atlanta’s automotive technician training at no cost to the school.
“The strong demand for technicians continues to put pressure on dealerships, making it even more important that new technicians enter the workforce ready for the realities of the job,” writes myKaarma CEO Ujj Nath in a release. “Working with UTI-Atlanta brings our technology directly into the classroom and gives students experience with the digital processes that are now part of the technician’s job.”
The program is designed to augment mechanical training by offering students hands-on experience with the digital workflows they will encounter in franchised dealership service departments, including inspection documentation, repair recommendations, parts and labor estimates and video-enabled customer communication.
“This pilot with myKaarma positions their technology alongside the technical instruction, so our students have more context about how the work they’re doing on the vehicle fits into the broader service process,” says John Dodson, vice president of business alliances at Universal Technical Institute.
